You just never really know what size to order, pet “clothing” is so inconsistent, and I’ve found that it tends to run small in general. I got this medium “surgery suit” as we call it for our 11 lb pug who is due to be spayed in a few weeks. Unfortunately it is HUGE on her and will not do. Some pros- the material is VERY soft, and if I had just had surgery I think this would feel nice on my skin. Also, it seems to attach securely but be easy to remove for pottying. I think the spaghetti straps are a little silly but so adorable. I will need to get a smaller size, but I think this is a really nice option and waaaay better than the cone of shame!

We ordered the same size as all of the clothes we get for our dog. This was too big. I have a German Shepard mix, and this was too big for her in the “large” size. The material is soft, and she really seemed to like it, but it was just too big. Buy a smaller size than what you think you need.
