You all nailed it 100%. My frenchie has issues with chicken and it seems that most food has some form of chicken in it. This food is beef and only beef and he goes crazy when I open the can. He loves this food and his itching (which usually means there is chicken) is gone. Thanks guys for doing what seems like it should be simple. The label says beef and that’s what it is!!!!

It’s pricey, but for a 12 lb dog I get a lot of servings from one can to use as topper for her super healthy but not popular with her taste costly dry dog food-so it’s quite economical.
I love that it doesn’t have all sorts of additives like the mysterious ingredients in canned dog foods.
Contents look good, smell good. Her poop has been firm and perfect too after eating this first time out!!

Our Goldendoodle is allergic to chicken and chicken products and I’ve had a hard time finding high quality canned dog food that doesn’t have any chicken products in it until I found this “HEREFORD FARMS 100% Beef in Bone-Broth, High-Protein, Limited Ingredient Wet Dog Food”. She loves this food and doesn’t leave a bit of it in her bowl after eating. The food is a loaf in bone broth,I give the cans a shake before opening to get the bone broth mixed and then I pour the broth over a bit of her kibble and I break up the loaf of beef for her. This food has worked perfectly to satisfy her and it has not upset her stomach at all. It is higher priced than a lot of dog foods and I’m okay with it because we are getting high quality for our beloved dog. Great food and value.

Trying to find a canned dog food (for a topper mixed w/dry food) without chicken products is near to impossible. After 2 months of trying to figure out my Great Dane/lab mix allergies (expensive vet visits, etc), I finally figured out that he is allergic to eggs and chicken. I was boiling chicken quarters in plain water thinking I was giving a healthy choice for all my dogs. For him, it caused digestive issues, lethargy, rubbing his eyes, sneezing and just plain miserable. It got to the point that he would circle his food and finally eat only because he was so hungry. Note: if your dog doesn’t want to eat boiled chicken, take the clue. I changed his dry food to Canine Caviar (no chicken or preservatives, etc) but kept topping it with IAM’S Classic Ground LAMB canned food. Guess what, I discovered that the 1st ingredient was CHICKEN. This prompted me to look at every single brand of canned dog food in Walmart and everything had chicken (either 1st or in the top 4 ingredients), even though the label stated lamb or beef. After much research, I decided on Hereford Farms (100% beef) and it has been amazing. Between the switch of the dry food and adding only the Hereford canned beef, he waits for his food now and readily eats it. He no longer has allergy symptoms, his energy is 100% returned as his tummy no longer has digestive issues. He gets a tablespoon (or 2) AM and PM mixed in with his dry food and he’s good to go. I highly recommend this food if your dog is allergic to chicken.

My dogs love this! I use smaller portions, and place the can in the refrigerator before opening. I then freeze in chunks in an ice cube trays to have ready to go. The liquid that people are complaining about is a gorgeous gelatin type bone broth once refrigerated. I assume that’s from the cooking process and full of nutrients. Ordered my 2nd case today!
